A house for children: This innovative kindergarten project is more than just a building – it is a place where children can play, discover, and grow in a playful environment. The single-story house has been carefully integrated into the existing school zone and the neighboring kindergarten, creating an open, child-friendly setting. The spacious, continuous area has been designed to be divided into manageable zones that invite play, learning, and relaxation. A protected interior courtyard with a tree gives the facility a special atmosphere and offers the little residents a natural retreat for playing and unwinding.
The building impresses with its light-filled, well-lit rooms that create a friendly and open ambiance. Exterior surfaces made of exposed concrete with pyrite-like pigments give the ensemble a natural yet lively appearance. Inside, bright surfaces and acoustic ceiling elements ensure a comfortable indoor climate and a peaceful atmosphere.
Highlights include a large splash pool that provides fun and cooling, as well as generous outdoor areas that offer plenty of space for movement and creative activities. The room program is designed for 25 children and includes, in addition to group rooms, a staff room and a kitchen to support daily care activities.
The landscape-integrated structure features a green roof that serves as a courtyard for the middle school’s break area, creating a sustainable connection between nature and architecture. The project combines functionality, aesthetics, and environmental consciousness in an inspiring, child-friendly environment – a true home for tomorrow’s little explorers.
